Premium Cast Feni Electrode
We are providing this Premium Cast Feni Electrode that is known for its optimum strength and ductile nature. It is also known as medium coated nickel-iron alloy type electrode. The offered electrode is specially used for crack free welding of cast iron parts. Having excellent machinability, this electrode is also suitable for repairing as well as joining purposes. Apart from this, the provided Premium Cast Feni Electrode is available in different dimensions as per the clients’ requirements.

Description :

An electrode with Ferro-Nickel core wire designed to produce a higher, matching strength weld metal for joining malleable, nodular and S.G. iron. It is also suitable for joining these to mild, low alloy and stainless steels. The weld metal has good ductility and machineability. The electrode is less sensitive to hot cracking sometimes caused by impurities in castings, compared to pure nickel type electrodes.

  • Joining of cast iron to steels.
  • Can be used on high Sulphur/Phosphorous castings.
  • Machine bases, transmission housings, gear boxes, engine blocks, pump bodies etc.

Recommendations :

  • Use low currents, smallest possible size of electrode and lay small beads to avoid over heating.
  • Peen the weld heads whilst warm to reduce welding stresses.
  • Cool the welded part slowly under insulation.
  • Thicker sections may require preheat of approx. 150oC - 300oC for best results.
